Conference Venue

 

The venue for IACMAG 13 is Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), which is the most comprehensive Convention and Exhibition facility in the Southern Hemisphere.  This 6 green star facility is located on the Yarra River’s southern bank and includes:

  • A five-star 396 room Hilton Hotel
  • A maritime precinct
  • A riverfront retail promenade, including cafes and bookstores
  •  The Centre’s 32 meeting rooms, plenary auditoriums and dedicated banquet rooms provide flexible options for the IACMAG Conference.
  • Free City Circle Tram within the City Centre to reach the Convention Centre. 
  • Travel time from Melbourne Airport to the MCEC and the City Centre is 20 – 25 minutes.
  • Accommodation Access is exceptional, with a price range to suit the budgets of all delegates, from five star to budget accommodation. Most of Melbourne’s hotels are within walking distance from the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

An in-house technical services department encompassing communications, information technology and audio visual provides advanced technical equipment which is supported by a skilled team of professional technicians. The Centre offers a wide range of audio visual and communications technology including advanced audio, lighting and video facilities. Voice and data cabling, IDSN and Internet capabilities, a 750 extension PABX system and state of the art fibre optics.  All of which are discreetly linked to every area of the entire complex.
